Keeping the Beat, 2017
Jeff Norton is a UK-based Canadian author. A reluctant reader as an adolescent, Jeff started writing to create the types of books that would be as addictive and compelling as the very best of film, TV and video games.
He is the author of the award-winning thriller series MetaWars, the comedic Memoirs of a Neurotic Zombie books, the picture book Stomp School and the upcoming sci-fi middle-grade comedy Alienated: Grounded at Groom Lake.
Jeff is also a TV writer/producer who creates all types of shows from preschool to primetime. He was most recently an Executive Producer on Trucktown, based on the best-selling books by Jon Scieszka. Before moving to the UK, he worked in creative development in Hollywood and produced the award-winning movie Choose Your Own Adventure: The Abominable Snowman featuring William H. Macy and Frankie Muniz.
Keeping the Beat is a creative collaboration with Marie Powell. Jeff channeled into the novel his days as an intern in Hollywood, his favorite novel (The Great Gatsby) and his yet-unfulfilled dream of playing to a sellout crowd at the Hollywood Bowl.
Originally from Burlington, Ontario, Jeff now lives in London, UK, with his British wife and two young sons, who have accents like Harry Potter.
